You have been invited to be part of the select few who get to participate in the annual Big ASS BASS Fishing Tournament to be held from June 26th - 28th in Liberal, Missouri.  Historically the tournament was so exclusive that only two teams were invited but due to the lack of competition in previous years we have decided to expand this years field to four two man teams.

The event will be hosted at Angler's Paradise in Liberal, Missouri. Angler's Paradise is one of my favorite if not my favorite place to fish for Large Mouth Bass.  They bill themselves as "bass fishing the way it used to be" and I have to agree with them.  Boat Launch will be at high noon on Friday and the team with best and most Large Mouth Bass recorded by high noon on Sunday will be crowned 2009 Big ASS BASS fishing tournament.

Team Jurkbald

Back for their third year, Team Jurkbald is two time defending champions and undefeated in strip pit tournament fishing.  Comprised of strip pit fishing veterans Kuta and Deezballz these two probably have the most strip pit fishing experience.  

Deezballz grew up outside...fishing.  He's a regular out door kinda guy who doesn't rest.  He keeps his line in the water all day and when his patience doesn't pay off his persistence and ability to find "what they are biting on" does.  

Kuta is a world class master netter and the King of the Zebco.  Known around the world for his boat side net skills if anyone gets a fish anywhere near the boat...consider it in the boat.  Like a good closing pitcher shortens the game, Kuta and his Net skills "widen the boat." Kuta is also known for his great in-boat entertainment.

Team Browson

Team Browson is returning for the third time. This veteran team is comprised of  (b)AssMasterFlash and Holmes Brown. These two time losers look to improve their luck after letting the first year slip through their fingers and getting destroyed last year.

Holmes Brown probably has more fishing experience than anyone in the tournament but his skills are honed for lakes and ponds.  This year he hopes to finally master the ways of the strip pit and finally bring home a Big ASS BASS tourney trophy.

(b)AssMasterFlash has the most experience in these strip pits.  He has been out several times with the owner of the property and will be able to fish the event site two month prior to competition.  AssMaster is the area expert and introduced the group to the "flick shake" or "wacky rig" fishing technique.

Team McVotto

Attending the Big ASS BASS tourney for the first time is Team McVotto.  This team is new to the tournament but well versed in the arts of strip pit fishing.  These two look to make a bang in their first tournament not only as a team but first time at Angler's Paradise.

Votto of McVotto is from small town Oklahoma where outdoors is a way of life.  Fishing and hunting was second nature growing in small town Oklahoma.    Votto should find a seamless transition to the Big ASS BASS Classic.

MC of McVotto brings a skill to this tournament that no one else has. Mr. Mc specializes in fishing technology devises.  His technological know how and resources bring a aspect to the tournament which has never been explored before.  MC IT is def a wild card in this year's tournament.

Team Sullison

Another rookie team attending for the first time is Team Sullison.  Relative fishing unknowns the have some experience in fishing for Large Mouth Bass in Oklahoma strip pits.  The will be a welcome addition both in good company and good competition.

Tinky is an experienced fisherman but what Tinky really brings to the table is his knowledge and his quality of equipment.  The Tinkster works in an outdoor store so his knowledge of the tools of the trade surpasses anyone else in the field.
